About three years ago our Eastern Shore bed and breakfast decided to give hosting weddings and elopements another chance. Years earlier we had tried our hands at big weddings with mixed results. Music that was too loud, cars driving over flowerbeds, intoxicated teenagers and a mother-of-the-bride asking us to cut the grass with scissors, among other things, convinced us that we were not a good fit for larger affairs. Hence we gave it a rest; a 10 year rest.
During that time, we were often told by our guests how perfectly wonderful our romantic Eastern Shore inn would be for these happy events. After revisiting the idea, we came up with something that has worked amazingly well for all. We totally nixed the big affairs and found our niche with elopements and intimate weddings for up to 20 people. Boy, do we enjoy hosting those!
These small events are very relaxed and personal. We organize everything and are very lucky to have access to people who are a delight to work with such as the officiants, our pastry chef ,and the florist. Here are a few pictures we would like to share of our Eastern shore weddings and elopements.
