Our Maryland Bed and Breakfast Presents Pottery By Manick

If you have had breakfast at our Chestertown MD bed and breakfast on a weekend, you may have been served by Manick Burton, a petite French woman (you cannot miss her charming accent!) who has been working at the Brampton Inn for the last 13 years. Only recently has she started helping out in the dining room. Her primary role at our Maryland bed and breakfast is as the gardener, and she has shown up in this blog before.

Our dear Manick is a woman of many talents: she is also an accomplished potter whose work can be seen in several different galleries in both Chestertown and Rock Hall, MD.  Recently she decided to sell her house and studio in Rock Hall and is now in the process of “thinning out” her possesions and her inventory in preparation for her move.  We have often had a few of her pieces for sale at the Brampton Inn, but right now there are several interesting sculptures and pots scattered about. These pictures do not do them justice, but they are beautiful as well as practical. The little pieces inside the flower pot are herb garden markers!
