If you’re going to be in the Chestertown area either of the next two weekends, be sure to head to the Garfield Center for the Performing Arts for one of the Short Attention Span Theater performances. These are just what the name implies, and, as their tag line says: “Just. Long. Enough.” An evening of 10 minute plays; it’s great because if you’re not crazy about what you’re seeing you know it will be over soon! But of course we’re sure you’ll love every minute of it.
This is the 9th year for SAST and it has proven to be a very popular attraction. And new this year, if your attention span is really, really short, there’s a showcase called HEY WAIT A MINUTE! A series of plays that are, yes-you guessed it-one minute long each. These take place in the lobby 45 minutes prior to the main event.
The Garfield is conveniently located right in the middle of downtown Chestertown, just a mile and a half from the Brampton Inn. If you’re looking for something different to do this weekend or next, this might be just the ticket!
