We’ve said before that October is a busy month… something is going on every weekend. Always a good reason to visit the Eastern Shore and stay at our Chestertown bed and breakfast!
This weekend marks the 33rd Annual Chestertown Wildlife Exhibition and Sale: “A celebration of Eastern Shore Art, Wildlife, Environment and Heritage.” This festival has it all: decoy carving and a calling competition, food and wine tastings, and a sportsman’s pavilion. Starting on Friday night with the “Shucker’s Ball” and continuing all day Saturday. Of course there is also wildlife themed artwork to admire, bid on or purchase outright. Raptor exhibits and talks and demonstrations. Something for everyone!
The forecast is looking good, so we hope to see you out there!
And with all of that going on, if you’re still looking for something to do on Saturday afternoon, The Kent County Public Library is celebrating their 50th anniversary with an indoor, 18 hole “miniature golf extravaganza!” That’s right, from 12:30 to 5:00 you can play mini golf in the library; and it’s FREE! This is a once in a lifetime event, you can be sure!! Or at least, once every 50 years!!
