Are you and your loved one planning a romantic getaway in Maryland this summer? Or maybe you and your family are getting away for a special family vacation together. No matter who you’ll be traveling with, consider staying with us in mid-June so you can catch the National Music Festival.
On Maryland’s Eastern Shore in historic Chestertown, you will find The National Music Festival at Washington College, a one-of-a-kind musical experience you can’t find anywhere else. This Chestertown activity is one you can’t miss!
“The National Music Festival at Washington College brings together inspiring mentors and the next generation of gifted musicians, providing education, scholarships and affordable, adventurous public performances.” If supporting young musicians is something you’re passionate about, you can even donate. However, there are no contingencies on enjoying amazing music and the inspiring experience that the National Music Festival brings to our favorite part of Maryland.
These inspiring performances will take place June 5-18, 2016. Witness young and gifted musicians who spend two weeks in June living, working, and learning together. They work hard together and it all culminates in 200 free open rehearsals for witnesses all over the world (that includes you!) You can also purchase tickets for the festival concerts. If you plan to attend all or most of the performances, you may want to purchase a Festival Pass. Festival Pass holders will get guaranteed admission and preferred seating at all ticket events, as well as a souvenir Festival Guide and even invitations to exclusive pass-holders-only events.
All rehearsals are open to the public and are family-friendly and open to all children, while the concerts are for children five years old and up.
Our guests love this event, whether they are lifelong music lovers or curious onlookers who want to see a live orchestra for the very first time. So hurry up and book your stay now, we fill up fast this time of year!
