And now, for something completely different: Our lovely public library near our Chestertown, MD bed and breakfastoffers the Winter Film Festival.
Starting this Friday, December 13 and continuing for 5 more weeks, Friday is matinée movie day at the Kent County Public Library. It’s free and so is the popcorn!
By christian razukas from Honolulu, Hawaii via Wikimedia CommonsIt’s always fun going to the movies in the daytime; when you come out it’s still daylight! At least for a little while at this time of the year; and then you still have your whole evening ahead of you. It’s a fun way to stretch out these short winter days. The library is just over a mile from our Chestertown, MD inn. When the movie is over, you’ll be back to the inn just in time for afternoon tea!
Winter Film Series Schedule:
12/13: From Here to Eternity
12/20: Double Feature this week: The Joy Luck Club and then A Christmas Carol
1/3: No film this week.
1/10: That’s Entertainment
1/17: Shane
1/24: The Defiant Ones
1/31: The Manchurian Candidate
Additionally, the Garfield is screening It’s a Wonderful Life on Friday night, December 21 at 7pm. Yes, you’ve probably seen it multiple times already, but there really is something special about seeing it, or any movie, in a theater and with an audience. The laughs, and the tears, just feel better with a crowd!
See you at the movies! Then see you at our Chestertown, MD bed and breakfast!
